Meet ARANIX: The World's First 4WD + 4WS Robotic Lawn Mower Coming to Kickstarter

Meet ARANIX: The World's First 4WD + 4WS Robotic Lawn Mower Coming to Kickstarter Meet ARANIX: The World's First 4WD + 4WS Robotic Lawn Mower Coming to Kickstarter

Not every lawn is easy to mow. A yard might have a steep section, uneven patches of ground, or a narrow strip between the grass and a fence. These are the spots where a robotic mower may have a harder time getting around, and some edges may still need a quick trim by hand.

AIRSEEKERS developed ARANIX with these challenges in mind. As the world’s first 4WD + 4WS robotic mower, ARANIX combines four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering, allowing all four wheels to drive and steer independently. It can turn on the spot or move sideways, which comes in handy when space is limited. On a lawn with slopes or rough patches, these extra ways to move can make it easier to get around.

Beyond its movement system, ARANIX combines advanced navigation with FlowCut™ 2.0, which cuts grass into fine clippings and spreads them back across the lawn. With its Kickstarter campaign coming up, let's look at how these features work and how you can sign up for early bird updates.

What Is ARANIX?

ARANIX is an all-terrain robotic lawn mower from AIRSEEKERS, designed for yards where slopes, uneven ground, tight passages, and edge grass make mowing more demanding.

Rather than treating movement, navigation, and cutting as separate add-ons, the mower brings them together in one system. Four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering (4WD + 4WS) give each wheel independent drive and steering control; Tri-Fusion Navigation combines LiDAR, vision mapping, and nRTK positioning; and FlowCut™ 2.0 cuts and mulches grass in a single pass.

What sets ARANIX apart is not one standalone feature, but how these systems work together to handle varied terrain while keeping navigation and clipping management part of the same mowing process.

4WD + 4WS: Built to Handle Tough Terrain

ARANIX combines four-wheel drive (4WD) and four-wheel steering (4WS) in one system. All four wheels can drive and steer independently, allowing the mower to maneuver in different directions and handle uneven ground.

ARANIX can use zero-radius turns, diagonal movement, or crab-style sideways movement to adjust its position. These different movement patterns are useful around tight spaces and irregular lawn boundaries, where repeated turning can make navigation more difficult.

ARANIX is specified to handle slopes of up to 40° (85%) and obstacles up to 70 mm (2.8 inches) high. Its four-wheel independent suspension helps keep the wheels in contact with uneven surfaces, while supporting the stability of the cutting deck over roots, ruts, and changes in ground level.

The steering system also gives the wheels more control over their direction during turns. This can help limit unnecessary dragging across the grass, reducing the chance of scuffing the lawn.

For yards with slopes, bumpy patches, or narrow sections, these capabilities address some of the practical problems that can interrupt a mowing session.

FlowCut™ 2.0: Cut, Mulch, Nourish

The FlowCut™ 2.0 upgrades the TRON Series' mulching system with an integrated blade-and-airflow design, a wider cutting path, and more powerful cutting motors. These improvements help ARANIX process grass clippings more efficiently while handling tougher mowing conditions.

ARANIX combines dual-layer blades with integrated airflow fins to keep clippings circulating for repeated cutting. Its 18 staggered blades break clippings into millimeter-sized pieces before spreading them back across the lawn. With two cutting motors delivering up to 500W peak power each, ARANIX can handle tall, thick, and wet grass. Its 400 mm cutting width is wider than the TRON Series' 220–300 mm range.

ARANIX covers 1,140–2,345 m² (0.28–0.58 acres) per full charge, compared with 400–1,230 m² (0.12–0.30 acres) for the TRON Series. Its mowing efficiency ranges from 316.77 to 465.61 m²/h, versus 200–410 m²/h for TRON. ARANIX also offers pivoting razor blades for regular mowing and straight blades for tougher conditions, with an adjustable cutting height of 25–95 mm.

Tri-Fusion Navigation: Simple Setup, Reliable Navigation

ARANIX brings together 360° LiDAR, Vision SLAM, and nRTK in its Tri-Fusion Navigation system. It maps the lawn automatically, so there's no need to draw the map manually. Setup is also simpler without a permanently installed RTK antenna or continuous Wi-Fi, 4G, or RTK coverage across the entire mowing area.

The three technologies work together to provide positioning accuracy of up to ±2 cm. With the lawn map in place, ARANIX can navigate along lawn boundaries, detect obstacles, and adjust its movements to changes in terrain and surrounding conditions. This helps it maintain accurate navigation throughout the mowing process.

Cutting Closer to Lawn Edges

Grass near fences, borders, and garden beds can be difficult for a robotic mower to reach. Even when the main lawn is neatly cut, these areas may need a separate trimming session.

With the standard cutting setup, ARANIX leaves as little as 3 cm between the cut and the lawn edge. Need a closer finish? The optional edging module takes edge cutting to 0 cm.

Combined with its flexible steering, the edge-cutting option gives homeowners another way to reduce manual finishing work after a mowing session.

ARANIX FAQ: What to Know Before Launch

When Will ARANIX Launch on Kickstarter?

ARANIX is expected to launch on Kickstarter in November 2026, although the exact date has yet to be confirmed. Sign up on the official ARANIX page to stay informed. We'll share the latest campaign updates as soon as ARANIX launches.

How Much Will ARANIX Cost?

ARANIX will launch on Kickstarter at $1,899, but you can get the VIP price of $1,699 by securing your offer in advance. Visit the ARANIX VIP reservation page for more details.

What Is the Maximum Mowing Area of ARANIX?

  • ARANIX 2000: 1.03 acres (4,181 m²) per day

  • ARANIX 4000: 1.32 acres (5,335 m²) per day

  • ARANIX 6000: 1.61 acres (6,518 m²) per day

Does ARANIX Need Continuous RTK Coverage?

NO. ARANIX uses a combination of sensors to navigate the lawn, even in areas without RTK coverage. The ARANIX 2000 uses vision and LiDAR, while the ARANIX 4000 and ARANIX 6000 add nRTK for more precise positioning. This setup means the mower doesn't need continuous RTK coverage across the entire lawn.

What Is the Difference Between ARANIX's Two Blade Options?

ARANIX comes with two blade options to suit different mowing conditions. The pivoting razor blades are intended for regular lawn maintenance, while the straight blades are better suited to taller grass in residential lawns that hasn't been cut for some time.

Can It Cover the Edge of the Lawn?

Yes. ARANIX cuts as close as 3 cm to the lawn edge with its standard setup. With the optional edging module, it can cut right to the edge at 0 cm, reducing the need for manual trimming.
